Week 2: Jesus expands the boundaries on murder, adultery and divorce.

God’s boundaries keep us safe, like a wall between us and a busy highway. Yet our first response is often “How can I get around this?” We focus on the letter of the law and look for loopholes.

Jesus brings out the spirit of God’s commands.

This week, we back up to the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. He said “Don’t sin. Don’t even imagine sinning.” What about him? Did Jesus give in to temptation?

And what about us? If we do sin, does God give up on us? Or is there a way back? Let’s see how Jesus responds.
