Day 42: Jesus washes his disciples’ feet

Jesus, clearly superior to his followers, humbly serves them. How will they respond?

When a teacher or leader has celebrity status, we don’t expect them to be very humble. Even if they are, they probably don’t serve very much. They might do some token gestures, some photo-ops. But it’s rare to find a well-known leader who’s still in touch with the common people.

In light of that, what do you think of Jesus, who washes his own disciples’ feet? Who humbles himself like that?
