Day 23: The woman’s village believes. A nobleman asks for a favor.

Will the Samaritans think Jesus really is the Messiah? Will Jesus refuse an official’s genuine request?

Because the woman told them about Jesus, the Samaritans wanted to meet Jesus. They invited him to stay.

In contrast, a government official begged Jesus to heal his son. Jesus didn’t refuse, but he did test how genuine the request was.

Sometimes we want one more sign for God to prove he’s for real. Maybe we should look back at all the signs he’s already given.
