Day 12: Sabbath grain and healing

Jesus in trouble for doing the right thing on the wrong day.

We saw how people were too relaxed about God’s boundaries. Now they’re too strict.

God told the Jews “Do not work on the seventh day (Sabbath).” Since then, Jewish leaders had declared that more and more things are “work”. By Jesus’ time, the day of rest had turned into the day of restrictions.

Watch as Jesus points them to the spirit of God’s boundaries, not just the letter.
