Day 41: Tax collector hosts Jesus, locals upset. Parade for Jesus entering Jerusalem.

When a tax collector hosts Jesus, the locals are offended. But then they throw him a parade!

If tax collectors are bad, a chief tax collector is the worst. But one of them gets Jesus’ attention, and Jesus invites himself over for dinner! The locals complain! They thought that being around dirty people makes you unclean. Instead, Jesus inspires the man to clean up his act!

Then Jesus parades into Jerusalem—not on a war horse, but on a young donkey. Jesus enters town the way he enters our lives, our world—not in power, but in peace.
